AIR and HOME SPECS has been established to meet the growing demand for home inspections, mold and allergen inspections during real estate transactions.  All AIR and HOME SPECS personnel have been trained to the Indoor Environmental Standards Organization (IESO) guidelines to conduct residential assessments for significant mold contamination.  AIR and HOME SPECS personnel are also trained to conduct allergen screening for bioaersol levels that exceed the threshold limit values proposed by the ACGIH and AIHA. 

Mold inspections performed by AIR and HOME SPECS are a limited, non-invasive visual inspection of the exterior and interior of a building to determine the presence of moisture intrusion or damage.  All visual inspections are accompanied by air sampling using a calibrated sampling pump and spore traps.  Analytical services of collected samples are performed utilizing an accredited laboratory analyzing 100% of sample trace at 600 times light microscopy. (Laboratory services currently provided by Aerotech P&K Laboratories)  A full reference report with EPA recommended guidelines for self clean up or referral to an appropriate specialist is included with all inspections. 

Molds and other biological contaminates do not need to be scary, but homeowners should be aware of these contaminates and take proper steps to avoid them.  AIR and HOME SPECS will provide you information about the unseen hazards in your home.  Mold, pet dander and other biological contaminants can cause illness and respiratory problems.  AIR and HOME SPECS personnel can perform testing to determine if microbial hazards are present in your home.  AIR and HOME SPECS procedures are scientific, non-invasive tests that provide qualitative and quantitative analytical results in as little as 2 days.  Your AIR and HOME SPECS technician will inspect your home for visual signs of biological contamination, perform needed sampling, and interpret your accredited laboratory results for you.  Finally, if biological contaminate clean up is needed, your AIR and HOME SPECS technician will aid you in determining the proper steps to take.  Many times clean up can be as simple as a thorough home cleaning.
